What I Can Do for Your Pet
FULL GROOMS
Full gooming service includes: •Bath and blow-dry,•Nails clipped,•Ears cleaned,•Hair cut,•Photo after groom,•Bow or bandana.This service allows you to make sure your pets welfare is being well taken care of.
DESHEDDING
Do you have a breed that sheds a lot? A Pug, French Bulldog, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Jack Russell Terrier, German Shepherd etc?Then this is the service for you.With every shedding dog, a de-shedding service is included. This helps reduce the hair loss from your dog for 4-8 weeks. You'll find less hair around the house and less hair falling off your dog when giving them a good fuss. Other than the joys of finding less hair around the house, there are other benefits to your dog from them having a de-shed. It helps maintain the welfare of them as the dead hair that sheds off the dog, if left untreated can become compact and Matt which causes discomfort. Also removal of dead hair especially in the summer time helps the dogs maintain and regulate their body temperature better!
HAND STRIPPING
Hand stripping is the process of removing excess dead topcoat, without clipping, leaving room for the new coat to grow and giving a more natural look. This process of grooming keeps the dog's coat tidy and healthy, leaving it strong and shiny. It is done by plucking/pulling the hairs out in the direction of the hair growth. This is not painful to the dogs. If you have a Border Terrier, Wire Fox Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Springer Spaniel or any other silky or wire haired breed that has not previously been clipped or neutered, then feel free to contact me to talk about this process of grooming.
PUPPY GROOMS
Have you got a puppy? Puppies are like sponges, they absorb information, new experiences and tricks very easily if done right. I would love to give your puppy the most positive experience from the get go.I offer puppy grooms from 12weeks- 6 months old (providing they don't need a full groom). This includes: bath, dry, nails clipped, ears cleaned, a good brush through, clipping the inside of the pad hair, clipping the sanitary area (if hairy), tidying around their feet (if needed), an eye trim (if needed), run the vibrations of the clippers over the dog to get them used to the sensation, spritz of perfume, bow or bandana and a photo after groom. As soon as the dog has had both vaccinations and the all clear from the vet, they're ready to come into the salon to get used to the grooming experience.
NAIL CLIP
🟠Did you know dogs have a blood line in their nails called a quick? As the nail grows the quick also grows with it. When the nails get clipped, it helps recede the quick back.🔴 Why is it important to keep on top of your dogs nails?
When dogs have long nails that hit the ground, it puts force on the foot and leg structure. This force can potentially lead to arthritis and ongoing pain. The growth pattern of a dog's nails forms a curved shape. If left untrimmed, the claws will eventually curve under the dog's paws and dig into the skin, creating more pain when they walk.🟡How often should I get my dogs nails cut?
If they're quite long, it's recommended to get them trimmed every 3-4 weeks to help recede the quick back until we can get the nails back to a nice length. Once they're at a nice length they can go every 6 weeks.
I do offer appointment only nail clipping as a service for £10 per dog.
